Nadia Strelking

Nadia Stelkina was born in Fedoskino, a village not far from Moscow, to a family famous for generations for producing high-quality lacquer art. Trained at the Fedoskina Lacquer Painting College, Nadia has reached beyond the faithfully copied renderings that distinguish the lacquer art tradition to produce her own original dreamlike images inspired by Russian legends, folk stories and religious beliefs that capture the essence of feminine beauty.
